12AY7 Medium Gain Double Triode for Vintage Amps
12AY7 is a brand new pre-amp valve introduced by JJ Electronic in June 2015. The 12AY7 is also known as the 6072A. It was used in a number of early Fender Tweed amps in the first pre-amp stage. Select YES on the Supermatch option if you need a matched valve. It is a medium gain double triode pre-amp valve.

JJ Electronic put the 12AY7 into production in June 2015. This is another double triode. It is pin compatible with the ECC83 ( 12AX7) and is has lower gain than the ECC83 / 12AX7. It was used in a number of early Fender Tweed amps in the first pre-amp stage i.e. in the V1 valve position.
We test every valve ourselves on our in-house analogue and digital valve testers and five 120 day warranty. You can choose a Supermatch version which is specially selected to be balanced in specification for each of the two triodes in the 12AY7. Matching is on each anode current and gain. Just select YES on the Supermatch option
