I started on this blog back in 2015 and this was my first experience writing a blog. I dont claim to be a world expert on valve ( tube ) guitar amps, but….
I thought it would be good to write about my experiences on restoring repairing early guitar amps. I look forward to reading your comments and feedback. I have repaired valve amps since the 1960’s and I am an electronics engineer and try to play guitar. I just love the sound of valve amps and recently restored the electronics in my 1971 Fender Deluxe Reverb back to its former glory from being a smoking wreck. I bought it new in early 1970. It still has the battle scars of the many gigs of my past days and I like it that way. It sounds fantastic. I like to work on all valve amps except Bugera’s and Mesa Boogies!

Hi there
Sorry for being slow to reply. I am new to blogging and your nicely appreciated feedback ended up as spam!!!
Anyway, I have found it and just wanted t say thanks. I will only write something when I think I have something useful to say so hopefully it will be quality rather than quantity.
Cheers
Stewart
