Revive your amp and get rockin'!

The ROS-2000 replacement PCB board for Marshall JCM 2000 amplifiers is on the way.

A product of painstaking research, rigorous quality testing, and passion for Marshall's legendary rock machines, this drop-in replacement is everything you need to put your amp back in fighting form.

The ROS-2000 stays 100% faithful to the original JCM 2000 tone while improving component life and amp longevity.

Made in the UK. Rocks worldwide.

[Updated 22nd December 2025]

We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming release in March 2026 of a replacement main board for the iconic Marshall JCM2000 amp series, including the DSL50, DSL100, TSL100, and TSL122.

Why Your JCM2000 Needs This Upgrade

Great tone never dies, but unfortunately amp components do.

As beloved as they are, Marshall’s iconic JCM2000 amps are showing their age, and the main PCB often deteriorates due to heat. The most common issue is bias drift, caused by high voltage conduction to the bias circuit. This causes the EL34 output valves (a.k.a. power tubes) to overheat, resulting in premature failure. Unfortunately, there’s no practical way to completely repair these boards, and Marshall no longer provides replacements.

And since these issues are caused by physics, literally every JCM2000 will experience them sooner or later.

But fear not!

Introducing the ROS-2000 Ultimate Solution

ROS 2000 Version 1 PCB
ROS 2000 Board 1st Revision

We have developed a superior replacement board that preserves the legendary tone of your JCM2000 while adding several key enhancements. The result is a long-lasting, hard-rocking, tone-faithful solution for your JCM2000 amp with reduced noise and improved reliability. Using advanced electronics modeling unavailable at the time of the JCM2000’s original design, we have configured this replacement board to eliminate the issues faced today by ageing JCM2000 PCB boards.

In short, it’s quieter, longer lasting, and more resilient, but still loaded with all the tone mojo you love about your JCM2000 amplifier.

[ 22nd December 2025 Update] We have now kicked off production.    We have retained some surface mount components but these are in areas which are the most unlikely to fail.   The picture shows the first version with tthe surface mount parts.  We have fitted these to amps and they work perfectly.   We are opening the books so you can pre-order from 2pm UK time on the 2nd of January, 2026.

We were concerned at all the tariffs  for our  USA customers. Therefore, we are manufacturing in the UK.  Privcing will appear to be higher for USA only customers because the USA goverment insists that we pay the import duties and customs clearance up front when we ship. Unfortunately these will be added into the shipping cost for the USA 🙁

Upgraded Features

  • Optimized PCB Track Placement: Eliminates all paths shared by high-voltage and bias circuits to prevent interference. Heavy duty tracking is used on the board
  • PCB Slots: Added to prevent cross-conduction at the valve sockets.
  • Uprated DC Heater Diodes: Equipped with 3A rated diodes for enhanced durability
  • Discrete Diodes: Replaces the monolithic bridge rectifier to improve airflow around components and for future serviceability.
  • Flyback diodes :  To protect the output transformer if speakers not attached.
  • Larger Heater Circuit Copper Areas: For improved heat dissipation resulting in better noise control and component life
  • High-Quality FR4 Board: Ensures longevity and reliability
  • Low Impedance Ground Plane: Reduces noise for a clearer sound
  • Enhanced AC Heater Connection Paths: Improves performance and eliminates crosstalk
  • Uprated Anode Resistors: From 1/2W to 2W for greater reliability
  • Upgraded Film Capacitors: Rated to 630V for improved durability
  • 105C temperature rated electrolytic capacitors for improved life expectancy
  • Slots in the board to block leakage currents to increase the longevity of the boards

Significant Benefits

  • Resolved Preamp Hum: Upgraded 3A diodes in the DC heater reduce heat build-up and eliminate hum caused by PCB conduction
  • Noise Reduction: Achieved through a low impedance ground plane and improved AC heater connections
  • Enhanced Component Life: Built to last with uprated anode resistors, quality capacitors and a high-quality FR4 board

Easy Installation

  • Identical connector numbers and placements ensure seamless integration
  • Consistent fixing points for easy setup and minimal hassle
  • No soldering required to fit the board.
  • We will have a YouTube short video showing how to fit the boards

Let’s bring your beloved Marshall JCM2000 amp back to its full glory with these state-of-the-art replacement boards, available exclusively at Valve Tube Guitar Amps.

Good afternoon JCM 2000 dual super lead interested in purchasing your board that fixes the biasing drift problem ! my phone number is 207-671-0120 in America USA please call me anytime. I would like to know the pricing on that board also thank you Bill Lessard

    1. Hola, estamos en la segunda revisión de la PCB. Estamos construyendo una segunda ronda de prototipos. Una vez que estén completamente probados e instalados en amplificadores reales, calcularemos el costo. Esto está a unas semanas. Saludos Stewart

    1. We are working as a small team to bring this board to market. We are on our 2nd revision of the board to make improvements having done long term testing on our first version. We have also made some changes to lower the production cost in this 2nd revision which means a lower selling price. We aer working carefully to make sure we make a solid, highly reliable, extensively tested product.

  6. Yes ok everything is very nice, but the SMD components are also not in a tube amplifier for guitar

    1. Hi there,
We are moving the production ( first units were made in China) to the UK. This is to minimise the tarriffs for our USA customers. Tarriffs with China seem to change almost weekly but tarriffs from the UK are much stable. We will keep you updated if you signed up to our mailing list
      Cheers

      1. I live in Brazil so the US tariffs don’t directly affect me. Can I have one of the chinese-made ones? I was hoping for a cheaper (in price) alternative, since now moving the production to UK might increase the cost, or perhaps not?

  7. Very interested in this, I have a dead JCM2000 DSL100 that I am 99.9% sure its the power amp section. I’ve not been able to trace the actual fault location on the power amp board but suspect its the IC that manages the relays. I’ve not been confident enough to replace this yet and until I do I’ll be checking back in here to see when some boards may be available.

  8. Oh man. Can’t wait to get my tsl2000 back up and running. My board went conductive and the amp is now just a display item that sits in the corner.

  9. Hey, any update on this? I really want to replace the board in my early DSL100. It’s sitting gathering dust and need to breath some new life!

    1. Hi James
We having been busting our buns to get the product finished. I will be doing an updte this week and it will be good news.We are just figuring out when the first batch will be delivered to us.
      Cheers
      Stewart

    1. HI there, Our baords are designed for the JCM-2000 DSL 50, DSL100 and the TSL100/122. Your amp does not normally need a new board. The most common reason for faults appearing in tube amps are the tubes. When were thay last replace or how long have they been in the amp? Is amp moved around a lot and regularly gigged?

  10. I had the good fortune to purchase both the DSL 50 and DSL100 PCBs this morning. The anticipation of their arrival is both exciting and gratifying.

I am writing to extend my heartfelt appreciation for your vision, desire, conviction, and unwavering dedication in bringing this project to life. Undertaking such an endeavor was undoubtedly a monumental task, and I am deeply thankful for your commitment to seeing it through to completion.

Your efforts have made a significant difference to many musicians who cherish their JCM 2000 amplifiers. The project has touched the lives of countless enthusiasts who hold these amplifiers dear. Thank you once again for your perseverance and for making this accomplishment possible.
