We made this JJ Electronic valve kit for the Orange TH30 Thunder amplifier, but it’s suitable for any amp using this valve combination.

Included Valves

  • 4x ECC83S (including balanced phase splitter)
  • 4x EL84
  • 1x ECC81

One ECC83S is matched and balanced for the phase splitter position to drive the EL84 output tubes. There are four matched EL84s.

We test all valves and hand match them on our Maxi matcher output valve tester at real amp voltages to ensure you receive the best possible quality. We test the ECC83s on our custom preamp tester, which also checks for noise and microphonics. The kit includes certificates showing the test results.

Please make sure your amp's bias is set correctly. If not, you could hamper your tone and even limit the life of the output valves. Also note that valve amps can retain high voltages even after being switched off. If you are not sure of fitting your valves, please seek the services of qualified personnel.
