A low-noise ECC83/ 12AX7 type with low noise and hum

The E83CC preamp valve is an ECC83/12AX7 pin-compatible double triode valve. It is designed with a spiral heater with short plates and improved grid construction. It has very low hum and is reputed to be the lowest noise double triode on the market. It is ideally suited to the V1 position in both guitar and hi-fi amps.

We test each E83CC on our custom testers, including testing for microphonics.

★ Safety

Please make sure your amp's bias is set correctly. If not, you could hamper your tone and even limit the life of the output valves. Also note that valve amps can retain high voltages even after being switched off. If you are not sure of fitting your valves, please seek the services of qualified personnel.
