The Sovtek EL84M Military Grade is a ruggedised version of the EL84 with higher power.
Sovtek EL84M series valves are ideal for musical instrument amps where a clean sound is desired, and are the best choice for hi-fi amps because of their low distortion.
The “M” standards for military grade. These valves have much more robust internal construction and last a lot longer than traditional EL84s. The mil-spec designation means they can withstand vibration, tolerate higher voltages found in hi-fi and musical instrument amps, and can tolerate more power dissipation.
We test these at 400 volts on our precision testers, and provide the test data on a certificate. The Sovtek EL84M makes a great replacement for the standard EL84.
They normally last two or three times longer than standard EL84s.

Note: the EL84M is wider than the standard EL84, so make sure it will fit in your amp!

- Certain Vox models where the EL84s are recessed into the chassis
