This is a sneak preview of our new amp prototype that we have been working on. It is all valve It will soon be ready and final units for sale Once we are satisfied how it sounds, we are on our way to having a really nice vintage style amp. It is built as close as we can to the original amps back in the early 1960’s.
It is hand wired on turret board. It uses a valve JJ GZ34 rectifier to get the ” sag” in the sound.
The valve compliment is two JJ ECC83’s and the output valves are two JJ 6V6’s. It is a very traditional circuit with some tweaks added. The output is running class A mode.
It is a 22 watt amp. Being hand wired on turret board assures the amp of a long life as they very easy to repair well into the future. It is a bit like an amp for life as it is made from commonly available parts.
The unit will have chrome corners as this vintage style cloth is easily worn at the corners.
We will post an update when the amp is finally ready for production.
Here are some pictures. The eagle eyed will spot it has no serial number as the pictures show my prototype. The speaker sounds good and it is a US designed Eminence 12 inch speaker that is made in China.
We love to hear from you and get your feedback on this Sneak Preview of our New Valve Amp prototype.
