Tube Amp Doctor TAD Now Official Dealers
We now have our first valve stock from our new supplier, Tube Amp Doctor (TAD). They are based in Germany and traditionally bought in valves and did additional testing and selection.
They also offer a wide range of products. We are starting off with valves.
I am sure you are aware of that Russian valve supplies have become next to impossible and JJ in Slovakia are just able to cope with the demand. TAD meanwhile have been working on a long term solution to this supply problem.
They are working with a small Chinese valve manufacturer and have introduced their REDBASE series of valves. While production levels are not yet high enogh to satisfy the market, there is an intersting development.
There is a mothballed tube factory in China which is capable of volume production. TAD has invested money working with this small manufacturer. This morhballed factory is udergoing refurbishment and will come back into production. Staff neeed to be trained and it is expected this factory will be in production later this year. I expect it will take time to ramp up the quantities. This looks very promising.
We will be adding more stock in the coming weeks. So make sure and come back and visit our site for updates.
If want to save your valve rectifier then a plug in solid state rectifier will give many years of reliable service.
Hi
I have a fender blues junior iv tweed, and have not been using it because it is so noisey 🙉
I think it might be the filter caps. I have tried everything. But the main experiment was using the same pedal board with my old yamaha solid state and am getting no hiss or pops as I do with the Blus Junior. Any advice on how to get this cured? If it’s filter caps or something similar, what sort of price am I looking at for you to sort this little tweed hissy junior??
Many thanks in advance!
