The EH 7025 Preamp Valve, reintroduced in 2020, includes noise and microphonics testing in a typical V1 position application. With this tube, Electro-Harmonix has released a low noise, low microphonic version of the 12AX7 that meets all specifications required the 7025 designation.

The original 7025 tube was a 12AX7 selected for the lowest possible noise and microphonics, making it ideal for the critical first preamp stages of amplifiers where noise and microphonics could be an issue. In order to meet the 7025 specification, Electro-Harmonix has redesigned the structure of the 12AX7 and implemented special construction techniques to ensure the absolute lowest noise and microphonics. In all samples tested, noise and microphonics could not be detected.

The Electro-Harmonix EH 7025 has a mid-range that gives clarity and definition, and a smooth top end for warmth and balance. With these characteristics, along with the exceptionally low noise and low microphonics, the Electro-Harmonix 7025 will work equally well in vintage and modern high-gain guitar amplifiers, as well as sensitive phono preamps..

Select either Premium tested,Factory Test only or balanced  for phase splitter applications. We verify noise and microphonics on our custom tester for our Premium and Premium Balanced grades.

Safety

Please make sure your amp's bias is set correctly. If not, you could hamper your tone and even limit the life of the output valves. Also note that valve amps can retain high voltages even after being switched off. If you are not sure of fitting your valves, please seek the services of qualified personnel.
