Description

By popular demand, Tung-Sol has reissued the EL84/6BQ5 valve. This valve was a popular OEM tube for American-made guitar amplifiers, such as those built by Gibson and Harmony. Because of its rugged construction, it’s the most reliable current-production EL84 type valve available for Vox AC30 amplifiers. In addition, its linearity and tonal characteristics make it an ideal replacement in hi-fi amplifiers, such as those built by Fisher, Scott, and Harmon-Kardon.

We receive these factory-matched, and then further refine the matching and quality assurance with our suite of AVO and hand-built valve testers. All valves tested at real amp voltages. We provide a test certificate showing the results.

Please make sure your amp's bias is set correctly. If not, you could hamper your tone and even limit the life of the output valves. Also note that valve amps can retain high voltages even after being switched off. If you are not sure of fitting your valves, please seek the services of qualified personnel.
