Electro Harmonix EH 12AX7

The Electro Harmonix EH 12AX7 is a brilliant choice for your amp. The 12AX7 is the American part number for the ECC83.

These valves impart rich tone and sonic sweetness. An excellent blend of tone, reliability and value. Many amp manufacturers fit Electro-Harmonix valves in their products.

  • Factory Tested: Direct from our stock
  • Premium Tested: Tested in-house at 250 volts with – 2 volts bias to simulate real conditions in your amp. This includes…
    • Shorts
    • Cathode to heater insulation (important to ensure low hum)
    • Anode insulation
    • Anode currents on the two triodes (which we print on the box for reference)
  •  Balanced: In addition to the above tests and labelling, we select units with closely matched anode currents. The box label shows the anode currents and the Gm of each triode. Ideal for the phase splitter position in your amp, ensuring even drive to the output stage.

★ Safety

Please make sure your amp's bias is set correctly. If not, you could hamper your tone and even limit the life of the output valves. Also note that valve amps can retain high voltages even after being switched off. If you are not sure of fitting your valves, please seek the services of qualified personnel.
