Nothing makes your Fender Deluxe Reverb Re Issue sound like new than a complete new set of valve/tubes for your amp. Here is a valve kit that will improve on an already superb amp.
This kit is specially chosen to provide a rich warm tone and absolute minimal microphonics. This kit has been assembled following feedback from customers on how impressed they are with the rich warm tone of their amp.
The kit is designed for the Fender Deluxe Reverb 65 blackface re-issue and the Fender Deluxe Reverb Silverface ’68 Custom. The main difference between these amps and the original amps of the ’60’s and 70’s is that the originals use a 5U4 rectifier and the modern re-issues use a GZ34/5AR4 rectifier. Otherwise the valve line-up is the same.
We have carefully selected the following valves for this kit. If you look at the back of the amp V1 is on your left & V9 at the right of the amp. Here are the recommended positions for the valves in this kit. All will be labelled when you receive the kit so you know which on his which.
Tung Sol 12AX7 for the V1 and V2 position as it has such low microphonics and a rich tone
One Tung Sol 12AT7W for the reverb drive circuit and again with low microphonics maintains a rich warm reverb sound. The W denotes ruggedised. This is the pre-amp valve that has the most load on it due to driving the reverb tank and the 12AT7W handles this with no issues.
One JJ Electronic 12AT7 for the phase splitter and this is a matched / balanced
Three JJ Electronic ECC83S ( the British 12AX7). A good quality robust valve. One is matched / balanced for the splitter position before the output valves
Two Electro-Harmonix 6V6GT matched output valves.
A quality robust Sovtek 5ArR rectifier which is proven to take punishment in the demanding application in a Deluxe Reverb
The matched valves come with a certificate showing the results of matching for your valves. We do the matching /balancing on our vintage restored testers the way it was done back in the sixties.
All our valves have a 120 day warranty.
