Nothing restores the tone of your Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue like a new set of valves. This valve kit will refresh that rich Deluxe Reverb tone with the exact valves Fender’s specified for the original blackface amps since 1963. Ideal for the Fender Deluxe Reverb 65 blackface and Reissue.

EH recently introduced the 7025EH, making this kit possible. Our customers love the tone this kit brings out in their amps.

We have handpicked the following valves for this kit. When looking at the back of the amp, the V1 valve is on the left and V9 is on the right. Note: All the valves in this kit come labelled so there’s no confusion about where to place each valve. We test all the valves at real amp voltages on our suite of vintage, modern, and custom-built valve testers.

Kit Includes

  • V1 – Normal Channel Preamp – EH 7025
  • V2 – Vibrato Channel Preamp – EH 7025
  • V3 – Reverb Tank Drive – Tung Sol 12AT7W
  • V4 – Reverb/Vibrato Gain – EH 7025
  • V5 – Vibrato Oscillator – Sovtek 12AX7 WA
  • V6 – Phase Inverter – Tung Sol 12AT7W
  • V7 – Output Valve – EH 6V6GT (matched)
  • V8 – Output Valve – EH 6V6GT (matched)
  • V9 – Full Wave Rectifier – JJ GZ34

The EH 7025s in the V1, V2 and V4  positions deliver low microphonics, low noise, and rich tone. They also serve as the reverb recovery. The Tung Sol 12AT7W for the reverb drive circuit boasts low microphonics and maintains a rich warm reverb sound. That “W” in the name denotes this valve is ruggedised. In Fender Reverb amps, the V3 has the most load on it since it’s driving the reverb tank, and the 12AT7W handles the job with no issues. The Sovtek 12AX7 WA provides a perfect compliment to the Reverb’s vibrato circuit. A matched/balanced Tung Sol 12AT7W works perfectly in the V6 position as the phase splitter. Two EH 6V6GT matched output valves deliver rich tone in the power section. For the V9 rectifier, we provide a robust JJ Gz34, a proven valve that can take the punishment of this demanding position. The matched 6V6GT valves come with a certificate showing the matching results.

If you want to replicate the true tone of your Deluxe Reverb, use the exact valves that shipped with the original design! We can also supply this kit with a 5U4GB rectifier, which appeared in the Silverface versions of this amp.

All valves made in Russia, except the rectifier, which is made in Slovakia.

Includes our class-leading 180 day warranty.

Safety

Please make sure your amp's bias is set correctly. If not, you could hamper your tone and even limit the life of the output valves. Also note that valve amps can retain high voltages even after being switched off. If you are not sure of fitting your valves, please seek the services of qualified personnel.
