Our JJ 4x ECC83S 4x EL34 II Valve kit contains four JJ ECC83S’s (12AX7), and four EL34 II’s. All 4 EL34 II’s matched to each other. One ECC83 is matched/balanced for driving the EL34s. The EL34s are hand-selected and tested in-house to ensure you receive the best quality possible.
Note that our JJ EL34 kits use the much improved JJ EL34II. It has vastly richer mid tones than the cheaper JJ EL34. The standard JJ EL34 has a reputation for sounding thin and JJ made the EL34 II to address this tone issue.
Kit comes with a test certificate. We test the valves on our suite of Maxi Matcher and custom-built preamp valve testers.
