This is one big bottle, packing a lot of output power!! These beam tetrodes can handle 42 watts in single-ended pentode mode applications or 100 watts in push-pull mode.

We test each valve at real amp voltages in-house here at VTGA. You can’t buy a better tested or more reliable valve.

We test your JJ 6550 at 70% of full power, the ideal biasing point for your amp,  and listen to them for noise and microphonics.

As these are high-power valves, we strongly recommend checking the bias when inserting into your amp. Incorrect bias can severely reduce tone and valve life.

★ Safety

Please make sure your amp's bias is set correctly. If not, you could hamper your tone and even limit the life of the output valves. Also note that valve amps can retain high voltages even after being switched off. If you are not sure of fitting your valves, please seek the services of qualified personnel.
