JJ 6V6S valves, available here as singles, matched pairs and matched quads. We test at voltages seen in your amp. The JJ 6V6S can withstand higher volts than most other brands of 6V6. We also have the new ruggedised version with double mica spacers to provide additional stability. This reduces vibrations and rattling that affect the tube, making it ideal for combo amplifiers.

The JJ 6V6S is a superb choice for popular Fender amps like the Deluxe Reverb, Princeton, 5E3 designs, and Champ. Designed to operate at higher voltages than any other brand of 6V6, making them ideal for amps like the Tone King Imperial, which runs at higher voltages than most 6V6-based amps.

At our shop, we put each JJ 6V6S through rigorous testing using our AVO analogue testers at real amp voltages. This is in addition to standard factory testing.

Available in the following options:

  • Single – One valve, tested and labeled with its anode current and Gm
  • Matched Pair – A hand-matched pair with a certificate showing the test and matching results
  • Matched Quad – Two hand-matched pairs with a certificate showing the test and matching results
  • DM Single valve – A ruggedised version with double mica spacers
  • DM – Matched Pair – A ruggedised version with double mica spacers

The double mica spacers provide additional stability and reduce the vibrations that affect the tube and therefore reduce potential rattling. This reduces vibrations and rattling that affect the tube, making it ideal for combo amplifiers.

Safety

Please make sure your amp's bias is set correctly. If not, you could hamper your tone and even limit the life of the output valves. Also note that valve amps can retain high voltages even after being switched off. If you are not sure of fitting your valves, please seek the services of qualified personnel.
