This JJ Valve Kit contain 4 ECC83S 4 EL34 II for rich mid range tones. Used in 100 watt amplifiers such as the Marshall DSL100 and several of the Matamp products
Note that our JJ EL34 kits use the much improved JJ EL34II because it has vastly richer mid tones than the cheaper JJ EL34. The standard JJ EL34 has a reputation for sounding thin and JJ made the EL34 II to address this tone issue.
One of the ECC83S’s and the EL34’s are hand tested and matched. The hand matched ECC83S should be inserted in the position next to the EL34’s as it is used in the phase splitter position.
We test every valve we sell . Valves are made by JJ Electronic in Slovakia.
