These Sovtek 6550WE is a sturdy valve with a metal base to help dissipate heat, improving their lifespan and reliability compared to resin base 6550s. This is one big bottle packing a lot of output power! This pair of beam tetrodes can handle 42 watts in single-ended applications or 100 watts in push-pull mode.
The Sovtek 6550WE Matched Pair is factory matched, then further tested and refined in-house here at VTGA. We use classic AVO and custom-built digital testers at real amp voltages to ensure maximum quality. Manufactured by Sovtek in the Russian Federation. We issue a test certificate with each set which shows the matching.

As these are high-power valves, we strongly recommend setting the bias on installation. Improper bias can reduce tone and valve life alike.
Note: Valves use high voltages and these voltages are dangerous. The amp can still retain these high voltages for some time, even after being switched off. If you are not sure of fitting them, please seek the services of qualified personnel.
