This is a kit of 4x 12AX7 preamp and 2x 5881 output valves from Tung Sol. Made in Russia. We match the 5881s and choose a matched/balanced 12AX7 for the phase splitter position. High quality low microphonic valves.

Our Tung Sol 4x 12AX7 2x 5881 Valve Kit is a perfect match for many American and German amps, such as the Engl E330 Screamer.

All valves in this kit are from the re-issued Tung Sol family of valves made in Russia. They have a rich tone and have excellent non-microphonic behaviour.

The 5881s come as a matched pair, tested in-house here at VTGA. We also match and balance one 12AX7s for the phase splitter position. We test all the valves at real amp voltages on our suite of vintage, modern, and custom-built valve testers. Includes a test certificate showing the valve test results.

Please make sure your amp's bias is set correctly. If not, you could hamper your tone and even limit the life of the output valves. Also note that valve amps can retain high voltages even after being switched off. If you are not sure of fitting your valves, please seek the services of qualified personnel.
