The Tung Sol 6L6GC STR is a clone of the legendary Philips 6L6GC-STR and delivers the ultimate in musical tone and smooth overdrive. The STR stands for “Special Tube Request,” meaning it matches the specifications of amp manufacturers which requested the original, audio-grade STR valves in the 1960s. This is the valve they wanted in their amps. The crème de la crème of 6L6s. Our customers love how these sound.

Manufactured in Russia and matched at the factory. We then verify in-house that’re a good match using our suite of AVO and custom-built testers. Each set comes with a test certificate from VTGA, along with the factory test results on the boxes. These valves are also vibration tested at the factory.
