Restoring a Fender deluxe reverb Part 2

Here is the next step in restoring the amp. On the underside of the chassis is the main board where the components are mounted. This is called the turret board.
On my unit this board was covered in sticky nicotine tar and also it had mould on it !
I found the best way to clean this off was to use a Foam Cleanser that is used for cleaning keyboards and elctrical equipment. In the UK a brand is ” Srvisol Foam Cleanser”. I sprayed the board and let it soak, ten I used an old tooth brush and gently scrubbed everything on the board.
I then dried it with lint free cloth – dabbing it. I left it to dry and it came up as new with the original inspection marks still intact.
I then replaced all the small electrolytic capacitors on this board and around the board with ones of the same value and voltage rating. The originals were white and about the same size.
