The 5751 is a lower gain ECC83/12AX7, perfect for increasing clean headroom in the V1 position of the preamp section. Great for country players, and anyone looking to tame an overly gainy amp.

Also great for amps with touchy volume controls, like the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and Fender De Ville, that go from whisper to a roar if you so much as breathe on the volume knob. A 5751 in the V1 position makes these amps much more controllable.

We have tested your JJ 5751  on our tester which simulates the V1 position in your amp and it is also checked for noise and microphonics.

Please note: In some extreme cases, a lower gain valve can cause high distortion or not even work properly. The 5751 has a different biasing point to the ECC83/12AX7. The results you get will depend on the specific amp you’re using it with. A good alternative is our premium testeed  EH 7025, which is more compatible with ECC83 and 12AX7 types.

We test each of these top quality valves in-house at real amp voltages, and each has a sticker on the box showing the anode current.

Made in Slovakia.

Includes our class-leading 180 day warranty.
