The JJ ECC802S is a long plate version of the ECC82 (12AU7).

Its design produces extra cooling, making it ideal for long service life. The longer plate enhances the bass and mid range compared to standard ECC82 valves. Note that longer plate valves are often more microphonic than short plate valves, so use a damper ring on the valve when installing in combo amps. This issue is not a problem in amp heads.

We are now stocking the JJ ECC802S in response to customer demand following our introduction of the JJ ECC803S (a long plate version of the ECC83S).

We test each valve at real amp voltages on our suite of vintage, modern, and custom-built valve testers for performance, microphonics, and noise.

★ Safety

Please make sure your amp's bias is set correctly. If not, you could hamper your tone and even limit the life of the output valves. Also note that valve amps can retain high voltages even after being switched off. If you are not sure of fitting your valves, please seek the services of qualified personnel.
