Note that this is the Sovtek 6L6WXT+ Matched Quad, the best selection of this model valve. This includes four matched valves.
The Sovtek 6L6WXT+ boasts solid construction and top-notch tone. The W denotes ruggedised construction for this top quality valve. This improves lifespan and reliability.
We stock the “+” version because we’ve had excellent reports on sound quality and reliability. They also increase clean headroom, raising power output by 20% over the Sovtek 5881WXT!
How do they sound? The honest answer is that Fender’s Groove Tubes 6L6 is actually this valve rebranded. They give an amp a distinctive warm, rich sound and break up in a very controlled fashion.
The Sovtek 6L6WXT+ features larger plate dimensions and improved grid structure for increased power handling capabilities and mica spacers with metal springs to eliminate tube rattle and microphonics.
This is not a repackaged 5881 valve. Extremely low noise and a lack of microphonics combine with excellent detail and harmonic content to provide a tube of exceptional quality. These valves work well in any application. Plenty of power and great tone.
We test each valve at 425 through 500 volts to simulate real amp voltages. In addition to factory matching, we further test each valve in-house using AVO and custom-built valve testers to ensure maximum quality. We issue a test certificate with each set showing the matching data. Made in Russia.
Includes our industry leading 180 day warranty.
As these are high-power valves, we recommend setting the bias after installation. Improper bias can reduce tone and valve life. Biasing for the Sovtek 6L6WXT+ can range from conservative to hot, for a wide range of great tones.
