Note that our JJ EL34 kits use the much improved JJ EL34II because it has vastly richer mid tones than the cheaper JJ EL34. The standard JJ EL34 has a reputation for sounding thin and JJ made the EL34 II to address this tone issue. Used in 100 watt amplifiers such as the Marshall DSL100.
