Note that our JJ EL34 kits use the much improved JJ EL34II because it has vastly richer mid tones than the cheaper JJ EL34. The standard JJ EL34 has a reputation for sounding thin and JJ made the EL34 II to address this tone issue. Used in 100 watt amplifiers such as the Marshall DSL100. We test and match our valves on our in-house suite of AVO and custom-built testers. All valves tested at real amp voltages.
