The JJ ECC803S is a long plate version of the ECC83S and is fully ECC83/12AX7 compatible. The long plate imparts extra cooling, improving service life. It also enhances bass and mid range compared to the standard ECC83S.

The JJ ECC803S is a long plate version of the ECC83S and is fully ECC83/12AX7 compatible. The long plate imparts extra cooling, improving service life. It also enhances bass and mid range compared to the standard ECC83S.

Note that long plate valves are more susceptible to microphonics than short plate valves, so add a damper ring when installing in a combo amp. This is not an issue with amp heads.

Please make sure your amp's bias is set correctly. If not, you could hamper your tone and even limit the life of the output valves. Also note that valve amps can retain high voltages even after being switched off. If you are not sure of fitting your valves, please seek the services of qualified personnel.
