Tung Sol EL84 Singles Matched Sets

In response to customer demand, Tung-Sol has reissued the EL84/6BQ5 valve. This valve was a popular OEM valve for American guitar amplifier manufacturers, including Gibson and Harmony. Because of its rugged construction and excellent performance, it’s the most reliable current production EL84 type available, perfect for Vox AC-30s. In addition, its linearity and tonal characteristics make it ideal for hi-fi amplifiers, such as those built by Fisher, Scott, and Harmon-Kardon.

We match and test each valve at real amp voltages on our suite of vintage, modern, and custom-built valve testers.  Our tests include listening for noise, rattles and microphonics.

★ Safety

Please make sure your amp's bias is set correctly. If not, you could hamper your tone and even limit the life of the output valves. Also note that valve amps can retain high voltages even after being switched off. If you are not sure of fitting your valves, please seek the services of qualified personnel.
